For the protection of:
- closed circuit water heaters for drinking water and process water
according to TRD 721, DIN 4753 and DIN 1988 for temperatures up to max. 95°C.
The safety valve is installed in the cold water inlet of the hot water heater according to DIN 1988.
connection types
- Internal pipe thread
usage
- CHP units (combined heat and power plants)
- closed, thermostatically protected water heating systems with flow temperatures up to 120°C and a permissible heat output up to max. 2,700 kW according to TRD 721, DIN 4751 and DIN EN 12828
In the event of failure of the thermostatic control and limiting devices, the safety valve must blow off the entire heating output of the boiler in the form of hot water and steam. Due to the all-metal design, these safety valves can also be used at high ambient or radiant temperatures.
Safety valves are permanently set and lead-sealed at the factory.
